Pasco County makes ad grant to nudists

The Pasco County Commissioners Court gave the go ahead to a $3,818 tourism development grant to PANDAbare, the Pasco Area Naturist Development Association, to promote a "Eurobird" season during the slow, summer months of July and August.

Pasco County Florida is home to about a dozen nudist resorts and communities. It is believed to have the highest concentration of nudist clubs in any state in the U.S.

The grant will be used to advertise in international naturist publications in Germany and France to draw European naturists to the area to use one of the nudist resorts (such as Lake Como) as a base from which to tour the area.

This is believed to be the first time a government group has aided in the promotion of naturism.
