What do nudists wear to a costume party?

Hmm I would imagine very little but I would be wrong. Nudists come up with all sorts of creative costumes for costume parties at nudist resorts. Anyway this is sort of a sidestep into a nice PR article garnered by the Sequoians in Castro Valley near San Francisco. I've been to this club and it is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. The members are friendly and you would do well to check this place out if you're in the San Francisco area.

Nudism in McDade Texas?

Yes, Virginia there is a fine nudist club about 30 miles east of Austin in McDade, TX. It is alternately known as Star Ranch and Sahnoans. This club has been around since 1957 and helped defend the rights of nudist clubs to even exist in the state of Texas back when the legislature tried to outlaw them. My beautiful bride and I have visited there on several occasions. Check out what the Austin American Statesman has to say about them.

View art in the nude?

Well here's a twist, a gallery in Australia will have an exhibition of an artist's work where all the visitors and viewers will be nude as well as the artist. As usual, it's got the prudes all up in arms about wasting taxpayer money, etc. Mostly it's about people being nude in public.

New Florida Nudist Club Stirs Controversy

Geez Louise, here we go again. A new planned nudist resort for Florida is bothering the neighbors already. Some cite problems with the Florida Trail which runs right through the campground and others are worried because the club may cause property values to fall. Still others complain that the club will be a detriment to the reputation of "eco-tourism" the area is trying to build. For heaven's sake what could be more ecologically friendly than a resort where everyone is in their natural state? Seems like nudist clubs garner all the popularity and good will that waste dumps and nuclear power plants do.

More Wreck Beach Regulations

In addition to banning dogs, camping, etc. on Wreck Beach, it seems authorities are trying to ban smoking there as well. That's making long time beach organizer and nudist, Judy Williams, smoking mad. She feels they are trying to nickel and dime the nude beach out of existence eventually. She may be right. When they can't make nude beaches outright illegal they try subtler approaches.

Successful Nude-In in San Francisco

Did you know it was legal to go nude in public in San Francisco? It's one of the few places in the U.S. where you can. Although the city council is planning some regulation of the nudists, it's nothing serious. (They must wear a towel when sitting on public facilities, chairs, etc.). Actually it's a non-issue but the media is trying to make it look like the nudists oppose this legislation. Anyway, they held a successful Nude-In there Sept. 24th. This event was planned long before the proposed legislation and was held last year as well. It is to celebrate nudity.

Canadian police arrest dangerous nudist

70 year old Bob Meldrum was sunbathing nude at a beach on Meech Lake when more than six plain clothes police arrived in half a dozen cars to arrest him for being nude. Apparently they've tried this before to discourage the nude use of a public beach in an area known for nude use since 1930. The Canadian courts have struck down the arrests they've made in the past. Hmmm, must be a slow day for crime in Quebec. Well at least they protected the public from a dangerous 70 year old naked man. They are very brave.
